Our products are made from organic cotton, which is grown without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Conventional cotton farming is one of agriculture's most environmentally destructive activities. According to the Sustainable Cotton Project in California, "The simple act of growing and harvesting the one pound of cotton needed to make a T-shirt (or any other conventional cotton product) takes an enormous toll on the earth's air, water and soil, and significantly affects the health of people living in cotton growing areas". Local manufacturing. Our hats are manufactured in the Asheville, North Carolina, USA. Manufacturing in country, as opposed to overseas, minimizes carbon dioxide emissions from transportation. |
